Red Ore's future is endless and the potential of the mission and brand is unstoppable.
At some point in your life, you are going to feel like you are not living up to the potential that was set for you at the beginning of your life. You will look in the mirror one day and see a person that now longer reminds you off yourself. You will see a person who is wasting away their god given potential and forced to make a decision. Forced to either change the way they live or settle for mediocrity. Well, our founder, Riley Williams, came to that realization at almost 16 years old. He was going into his sophomore year of high school and was on the bubble of his varsity hockey team, which he had luckily made his freshman year. He was looking in the mirror and saw a 5' 9'', 250 lbs failure with little to show for. He was forced to make that decision, and he did it. He changed everything. Diet came first. "It was tough for me. I really struggled in the first few weeks but once I hit a routine and got into a good mental state it was a breeze." -Riley Williams
After only 4 months of heavy caloric reduction and cardio, Riley was 199.8 lbs. He dropped 50 lbs in 4 months. Something that is very hard to do and put Riley in a new spot, one that was not what he expected. He was faced with a lot of health challenges during that years hockey season. He stayed in a deficit most of the season and lost another 20 lbs. He was lighter but was either sick or sore for every single practice.
Riley may have lost the weight and technically succeed in his goal but left weak and unhealthy. The part of the equation he was missing the weights. He did all this work and did zero weight training during it. He didn't know what to do. That's when he started to look into strength training and soon fell down a rabbit hole of different workouts. He soon became a student of the craft and started to help others in his shoes try to get in shape.
In the summer following his senior year of high school, he was given the opportunity to become the head strength coach of his Alma maters hockey team. He continues to improve his knowledge and craft and will always be willing to learn and help.
